Our Story
Yat Sen Schools in Fiji represents a proud tradition of educational excellence that spans over eight decades. Founded as the Fiji Chinese School in 1936, our institution has grown from humble beginnings with just 17 students to become one of the most establishments in Fiji, now serving over 1,100 students.
Our name honors Dr. Sun Yat-Sen, a Chinese revolutionary and founding father of the Republic of China, reflecting our institution’s cultural heritage while embracing our role in Fiji’s multicultural society. Today, Yat Sen Schools continues to uphold its founding principles while adapting to meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world, preparing students to become thoughtful, capable, and contributing members of society.
